Shizhou Yang received his PhD in education from La Trobe University in 2011. Before moving to Payap University (2020) in Thailand, he taught at Yunnan Minzu University (1999-2020) in China. He was the recipient of Endeavour Asia Award, Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship, David Myers Scholarship, Norwegian King Harold V Scholarship, and CSC Postdoctoral Visiting Scholarship. He writes and presents widely on topics related to L2 writing, TESOL, multilingualism, and multilingual teacher development. His work has appeared in journals such as Frontiers in Psychology and Journal of Second Language Writing. He is the author of Autobiographical writing and identity in EFL education (2013, Routledge). Besides reviewing for international journals such as English Teaching & Learning, he also serves as an Associate Editor of MEXTESOL Journal non-refereed articles. orcid.org/0000-0002-8113-4689
