I am a Fulbright and IPS scholar, and I completed my Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Administration in 2021. I have an MPhil in socio-cultural anthropology from Oxford University and a B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies from Middlebury College, VT. I’ve taught for several years in elementary school in Takhar, Afghanistan, during the Taliban rule. I also taught in higher education institution in Mumbai, India. I am a former BBC journalist, AUAF admissions director, and administrative reform commissioner. I have also worked as a consultant for the FHI 360, researched and published about women’s expressive genres, higher education policies in developing countries, and initiated and developed policies and strategic plans for the Afghan government. I am a member of the British Academy, STAR Scholars Network, and mEducation Alliance. Currently, I work as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to get my systematic review about women and technology empowerment published. I also work as an intern at mAlliance and identify researchers that work on developing counties’ education systems. I am open to assistant professor roles in higher education and research roles in education, women’s studies, and cultural anthropology.
