Prof. Gopi Upreti (Tribhuvan University) from Fairfax, Virginia
Dear Esteemed Professor,
Your unwavering dedication to forging a just and sustainable future for all in the face of the daunting challenges posed by neoliberal global corporate capitalism has been a beacon of hope and guidance for future generations. Your profound commitment to developing a fairer, more sustainable world is admirable and truly transformative. The depth of your teachings and the inspiration drawn from them have transcended mere academic discourse, touching the lives of those privileged to be graced by your wisdom. This has left an enduring mark, continually inspiring us to uphold and advance your visionary mission.
I had the distinct honor of attending your memorable inaugural address at the STAR Scholars Network conference, “Shaping a Humane World: Higher Education Perspectives,” in December 2020. Your profound insights into the converging crises facing humanity – global warming, climate change, nuclear threats, and the erosion of democratic values – struck a deep chord with me, igniting a profound transformation in my perspective.
During this period, I was engaged in refining several chapters of my newly released book, “Ecosociocentrism: The Earth First Paradigm for Sustainable Living” by Springer Nature (December 2, 2023). The chapters, namely ‘Climate Change and Its Threat to Humanity’, ‘Critique of Dominant Development Paradigm’, and ‘Power of Collective Human Consciousness’, greatly benefited from your enlightening thoughts. Your words, which I have quoted in the concluding chapter, have immensely enriched the discourse I sought to articulate.
Much like countless others, I highly esteem your progressive insights, thoughts, and advocacy for socially just and environmentally sustainable development. Your philosophy and ideas align with my book’s core themes and serve as their inspiration.
On this special occasion, I extend you the warmest birthday wishes. May your life be filled with robust health, boundless happiness, and serene tranquility.
With the highest regard,
Prof. Gopi Upreti

Congratulations Noam,
What a wonderful milestone reaching 95 years young, and still many more to come.
The most powerful words I as an Educator wholeheartedly believe in and share with my students. Are “it is not important what we cover in class what is important is what you discover” taken from a YouTube clip you shared, On Being Truly Educated (2015).
To be truly educated means to be in a position to inquire and create based on the resources available to you, that you understand, and that is a base to continue questioning. So questioning is what I truly believe lies at the heart of education, and we must as educators never be afraid of and never be afraid to encourage our students. You are a truly amazing human being and I thank you. ENJOY YOUR DAY & Take care / Liisa UusimakiThierry Luescher, Human Sciences Research Council and Nelson Mandela University
Congratulations Noam to your 95th! You are an inspiration; a voice of courage, morality and reason in an increasingly Orwellian world. May you and your spirit live on. Aluta continua. Thierry from South Africa, Nelson Mandela University & HSRC.

We are commemorating today an American professor, critical thinker, analytical philosopher, and father of modern linguistics as well as the public intellectual who gives cognitive science theory for innate brain language capacity theory. His universal grammar theory and inputs with all arguments matter inspired me a lot. His writing style and discussion methods show what he is in his 150 books. In that, Who Rules the World and How the World Works are my favorites which are motivating me to do and think of something great. On this occasion, as a DMS scholar student, I would like to dedicate my all scholarly journal work to this ever-great scholar as a small gift. And live to learn forever his theory!

I studied his work 20 years back in master’s level. Prof, Chomsky’s knowledge and works are equally impactful today. His knowledge has been implemented in Compassionate Intervention and cognitive and behaviour approaches to help people. This message is to let Professor Chomsky know that he always holds a special place in our lives for the great contributions he has made in our society.

I was 18 years old when I read “Secretos, mentiras y democracia”, the Spanish version of “Secrets, Lies and Democracy”. The book had a tremendous impact on me. I started questioning the status quo of Mexico (my home country). This book also helped me to be more aware of the social mechanisms and the deadly interventions implemented by the United States in the name of democracy and false progress for Latin American countries.
Thank you Dr. Chomsky for your intellectual legacy and for helping us to remember that we have a voice and we can address the systemic structures that have been built to oppress and take advantage of our communities. The power of the collective is a pathway for liberation!
Le deseo un maravilloso cumpleaños! Por mas liberación y empoderamiento en el Sur Global.

The first time I heard the name Noam Chomsky was from my younger brother who was at the time a medical student. I was intrigued by what he knew about Prof Noam, because I thought my brother was trespassing into my field. I was already a research fellow at the time. When I started following Prof Noam Chomsky’s academic brilliance, I was glad my brother introduced me to him. Prof Noam Chomsky is a gift to the world, especially among scholars as he is one of person that has pushed the boundaries of knowledge in a positive manner. Even at the enviable age of 95, Prof Noam Chomsky is still as articulate and cerebral as a young scholar. Thank you for adding your light to the path of liberation. Happy birthday Prof Noam Chomsky!
