Lynn Pasquerella to Deliver Keynote at the A. Noam Chomsky Global Connections Awards Ceremony in Kathmandu

The STAR Scholars Network is thrilled to announce that Dr. Lynn Pasquerella will deliver the keynote address at the A. Noam Chomsky Global Connections Awards presentation in Kathmandu on December 12, 2024.

Dr. Pasquerella is a past recipient of this prestigious award, dedicated to recognizing exceptional contributions to transnational research and collaboration. These awards highlight the vital work of scholars who impact humanity positively beyond national borders. The award ceremony is a signature event as part of the annual STAR Global Conference, which is being hosted by the Kathmandu University this year on December 8-14, 2024.

Dr. Pasquerella, President of the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) since 2016, is renowned for her extensive career in higher education. She previously served as the eighteenth president of Mount Holyoke College, Provost at the University of Hartford, and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Rhode Island. With a profound background in philosophy, her scholarship encompasses medical ethics, metaphysics, public policy, and the philosophy of law. Her latest book, *What We Value: Public Health, Social Justice, and Educating for Democracy*, addresses contemporary issues at the intersection of ethics, law, and public policy.

She also holds honorary degrees from several esteemed institutions and has been named one of America’s top 35 women leaders by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
