I am currently a full time high school English Literature teacher and English Language Development and Sheltered Programs Department Chair for a private K-12 international school in California, USA. I also hold two Adjunct positions at Pepperdine University and University of Redlands–teaching courses in both Masters in Teacher Education and Masters in TESOL programs. In addition, I completed my PhD in Education focusing on ethnic identity, generational status, and historical context. Previous publications include the history of Asian Americans in education, co-ethnic communities, and trans-national adoption. In both my secondary and higher education teaching experience, the majority of my students are international and would like to focus future research projects exploring their challenges.
