The STAR Scholars Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Shyam Sharma as Chair of the STAR Global AI Task Force.
Under Dr. Sharma’s leadership, the Task Force will spearhead the development of institutionally adoptable Artificial Intelligence (AI) guidelines for higher education, grounded in ethics, equity, academic integrity, and innovation. This landmark framework is intended to support colleges and universities worldwide as they navigate the responsible integration of AI in teaching, research, administration, and student success.
The AI Guidelines will be formally unveiled on the occasion of the 8th Anniversary of the STAR Scholars Network, to be celebrated on February 16, 2026, during a special commemorative event in Washington, DC.
AI scholars and experts from universities and research institutions across the globe are invited to participate in this collaborative effort and contribute to this historic document, one that will help shape global conversations and policy directions for the future of higher education.
