Niharika earned her bachelor’s degree from Shwoyambu International College in Kathmandu. During her academic journey, she excelled in her coursework and actively participated in extracurricular activities, which helped her develop skills in teamwork, leadership, and effective communication.
After completing her bachelor’s, Niharika began her professional career at World Vision International Nepal as a Finance and Admin Trainee. This role at a non-profit organization instilled in her a deep appreciation for helping others and highlighted the various ways to make a positive impact. She then transitioned to a role in People and Culture as a P&C Support, where she was involved in hiring processes, event organization, and other human resources activities. Her time at World Vision International Nepal provided her with a thorough understanding of organizational dynamics and the crucial role of human resources in achieving collective goals.
Niharika’s next role was at HLE Nepal as a Loan Processing Associate. This outsourcing company, a sister company to Home Loan Experts Australia, involved assisting brokers in helping clients purchase homes based on their preferences. She was later promoted to Loan Processing Specialist within the same organization. In these roles, she developed a keen eye for detail, honed her analytical skills, and gained a deep understanding of the financial processes involved in home loans.
Driven by a desire to further her education, Niharika relocated to Canada in January 2024 to pursue a Post Baccalaureate Degree.
In her current role at STAR, Niharika aims to play a key role in fostering strong community engagement and support. She plans and promotes a variety of events, including fundraisers, community outreach programs, and volunteer initiatives, to create meaningful connections with the audience. By maintaining accurate records and analyzing campaign performance, she hopes to provide valuable insights for continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with her team, she works to enhance community relationships by responding to inquiries and fostering a sense of belonging. Additionally, she will strives to contribute to fundraising campaigns, email campaigns, and social media management, creating impactful promotional materials, tracking donations, and implementing effective strategies that align with STAR’s mission.
