Dr. Ancho is currently an Assistant Professor 1 at the College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research at the Philippine Normal University. He earned his PhD in Education (2015) from Chonbuk National University (CBNU) in Jeonju, South Korea as an academic scholar. He was a recipient of the Woojung Foundation Scholarship Program in Seoul, South Korea. He finished his MA in Education (2010) in CBNU as an academic scholar. He served as a Teaching Assistant at CBNU’s Human Resource and Development Office from 2008 – 2012. As an international student, he became the country representative to the international student council of the University. He was also a Visiting Professor at the College of Culture and Tourism of Jeonju University, 2015 – 2016. He is an active member of Pinoy Iskolars sa Korea, the organization for Filipino students in South Korea. As a Filipino student abroad, he was involved in numerous programs and activities of the Filipino Community in Jeonju City. In 2012, he was elected as the Vice President of the Jeonju Filipino Community. He is a product of the University of the Philippines – Diliman where he received his undergraduate degree (cum laude), BA in Philippine Studies (2007), with specialization in Speech Communication and Filipino. He attended Hannam University in Daejeon, South Korea for a year-long exchange student program where he majored in Korean Studies. His research interests include Korean language, educational administration and management, and international education.
