Charleston Southern University
I am an Assistant Professor of Education at Charleston Southern University (as of August 1st). I will be teaching courses in the EdD in Leadership program, as well as serving as a member/chair for students’ dissertations, and continuing my research agenda.I recently graduated with my Ph.D. in higher education from Old Dominion University. I am an international education scholar, teacher, advisor, and leader – holding positions as the Production Editor for the Journal of International Students, the STAR Global Conference Director and Country Director Liasion, the Communications Coordinator for the Council for International Higher Education within the Association for the Study of Higher Education, and other leadership positions for NAFSA and the Virginia International Educators.
My research agenda has three major emphases: students’ experiences in emerging and under-researched contexts, inequalities in mobility and immigration policy, and innovative campus initiatives. My dissertation was a longitudinal and comprehensive analysis of academic and economic factors that related to international student enrollment in the U.S. from 2004 – 2019.
