Cathy is currently an EdD candidate in the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) . Her research area is about the impact of overseas educational experience on engineering students’ employability, engineering education and internationalization of higher education. She also has publications in international peer-reviewed journals and presents in various international conferences. Cathy is also a part-time program officer at Education Policy Unit, Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She administrates various programs including World Bank capacity building program with leading Vietnamese universities, annual Summer Institute for Higher Education at HKU, annual Global Education Frontier Summit, and conferences for the OECD project on High Performing Systems Tomorrow.
After gaining her Master’s degree from the University of Nottingham, Cathy had been working as a Study Abroad Officer for Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, The City University of Hong Kong for over ten years. She sets up and implements various international programs for engineering students based on bilateral agreements between universities including exchange programs, double degree programs, short-term internship programs. She also has rich experiences in taking care of inbound international students and outbound program students.
